Lucetta is an Italian inspired restaurant nestled down in Millers Point, who pride themselves on their homestyle cooking. Their menu features a wide variety of delicious Italian style meals made using the freshest produce available, and a seasonal wine list.
Owners Mick and Jo have been concentrating on perfecting their menu for the last few years, introducing signature dishes and constantly creating new ones for their specials board. With these developments came the need to make some changes visually, updating their menus and website in order to present a fresh face to the public and attract new customers.
Lucetta is an Italian inspired restaurant who pride themselves on their homestyle cooking. They wanted a website redesign to showcase their delicious food
With winter approaching and restaurants beginning to quieten down as people favour staying at home more often, there was a clear need to promote the best assets of the restaurant – the warm, rustic environment and some great home style cooking. They came to us for some signage solutions to help get them noticed by passers by and get customers inside, as well as a website refresh to attract new and existing customers.
The new site needed to retain that personal touch and would allow potential diners to view menus online, find out about group bookings, set menus, and make booking enquiries. They also wanted to be able to promote their specials on the site, updating them as they changed each week.
In designing their menus we created a suite of custom icons which became a central branding element. These were used to signify different sections of the menu, serving as both visual cues and balancing elements to help break up such a large amount of text.
The icons then became a feature of the site, acting as navigational tools on the homepage to help guide the user. These, combined with full width sliders are the first things you see when you land on their homepage, and set the tone for the whole website. The slider is fully customisable, and can be used to draw attention to particular specials, new initiatives or happenings within the restaurant.
The site features each of Lucetta’s various menu’s in full, as well as an option to download a pdf version. A sidebar is used on all menu pages to give the user essential information like terms and conditions, and features booking options so you can book a table easily. The site also records all contact form submissions so they can be checked and responded to from anywhere.
Interactive elements such as an expandable header featuring directions and an API integration with the Dimmi Booking System serve as Call To Actions easily accessible across the whole site.
A website of this nature needed a robust CMS (Content Management System) to allow users to update text (menus) frequently, including those who aren’t tech-savvy. There was no question that the CMS of choice for this project would be WordPress. We provided the team with a step by step guide with an introduction to WordPress as well as instructions on how to add pages, update text and sliders, as well as add posts for a future blog.
The completed site is a beautiful and easily navigated showcase of Lucetta’s offering – delicious, homestyle food. We’re currently working on Dine In menus to complete the brand refresh and have recently printed some more A1 Signs which have already been a hit with walk in customers.Visit Site Similar Projects Hire Us
