If only every business model endevoured to give back. Here’s one social enterprise that gives a crap about the planet and gives back a lot – 50% of their profits in fact. Become familiar with Who Gives a Crap. After discovering the horrifying statistic that 40% of the world’s population doesn’t have access to a toilet, Simon, Jehan and Danny decided to give a crap and do something about it. In July 2012, via a crowd-funding platform Who Gives a Crap was born. Using 100% recycled fibre in their toilet paper, their product is also good for the environment as well as the people they’re aiding. The guys give 50% of their profits to Wateraid who build toilets and improve sanitation in the developing world. The rolls themselves are delightfully designed and packaged and you can buy in bulk for both the home or business. You can even subscribe to have regular shipments which we we think is a brilliant idea. Think about it, you’ll never need to make an emergency dash to the corner shop! With one roll alone providing someone access to a toilet for a week it really is time to start giving a crap.
Want to purchase some life-saving toilet paper? Head immediately to the Who Gives a Crap website to place an order and to read the many positive reviews they get about its high quality. The guys post very regularly on Facebook with what they’ve been up to as well as posts from happy customers. Their Twitter feed is handy for updates.
