WordPress is a robust CMS (content management system) which allows you to build world class websites and edit them easily through a secure login. We use WordPress for a lot of the sites we build as it means the client can easily manage their own content rarely needing a professional web developer to dig through mountains of code.
Every so often the WordPress team updates their software to include new features and keep up to date with the latest technology and developments. They’ve recently launched their slick new update, version 3.8, aptly nicknamed “Parker” after influential bebop artist Charlie Parker, a legendary icon for innovation and improvisation in his industry. This is a major upgrade, arguably the biggest one in 6 years which includes a bunch of security updates and a new look to the admin interface with improved usability.
With a new focus on widget areas, dashboard customisation and user experience 3.8 is well worth implementing.
