Cake Wines

There’s nothing quite like a tasty drop of wine. Drink it with dinner. Drink it with cheese. Drink it with friends. Drink it on it’s own, on your own. There’s a lot of wine out there (hooray) but not all of it is accessible. Enter Cake Wines. Based in Sydney, this boutique independent wine business makes some seriously drinkable wines, featuring the best wine labels we’ve ever clamped our eyes on.

The ‘Art Series’ is a range of six wines (all our favourites) with labels commissioned by local and independent artists. The ‘Young Wine Maker Series’ is a collaboration with an emerging young winemaker which creates a premium short-run release wine. Not limiting themselves to wine making, the guys at Cake Wines also run pop-up events in disused inner-city spaces, where people can look at some art, hear some music, listen to talks, and of course, drink wine!

They also run Archi-bottle, a competition for artists to design new wine labels. Having their cake and their wine, these guys are taking wine-making and wine-drinking to a new level.
