One of our latest projects here at DPM is targeting our colleagues working in government. Our message is that we work well with government and as a visual connection we’ve incorporated the message and style of WW2 propaganda posters. We are the “land army,” the “home front,” and the workers in the factories providing the ammunition!
Research for our mail outs has lead me down an interesting path of discovery of women in propaganda. The messages seemed to boil down to three distinct topics… Don’t talk to women, they will spill your war plans; Women will make you sick, avoid them while over seas; and a third inspiring women to hold the home front together.
Regardless of whether the messages were a touch misogynistic, the art work of WW2 propaganda is no doubt considered an iconic selection of Americana. They have adapted beautifully to delivering our design message with a clever vintage twist. We are really excited to get these out to our clients to show that we as creative agency are willing to do our patriotic duty to support a strong nation with strong design!
