Enmore Audio is an analog and digital recording studio based in the heart of Sydney’s inner west. They are part of the We Are Happy Media collective who we have a long term working relationship with. We share the same building and have already done their branding and the first iteration of their website. They knew that we’d deliver on the brief: To build a website that captures the essence of their brand and does justice to what this boutique studio had to offer. They referenced recent work for clients such as Charrúa and Penn College as having the right ‘vibe’.
We love working with fellow creatives (and it means we get to visit the studio and drool over their gear) and we’re delighted to be taking care of their digital marketing too. Our digital strategies are particularly effective when we get to take a holistic approach, starting with the branding and build of the website.
Enmore Audio wanted a recording studio website that set new standards in their industry. A site that presents their services using high quality imagery and considered design to concisely show all the information that a visiting recording artist might require
Enmore Audio were looking for a website that would exhibit their prime assets, an impeccably designed, custom built studio (The three room space was designed by luminary acoustician and studio designer John Sayers) and a selection of world class gear, whilst also showing that this studio is run by two people with a genuine love of all things music, and with the skills to boot.
With such a cool space and all this amazing gear, it seemed obvious right from the start that this would be an image focused website. When the service you’re offering looks so great on camera it was a no-brainer. Because of this we went for a clean, minimal website deign, where the images would be the hero, while still approaching the design from slightly left-of-field to reflect the creativity of the studio. The combination of eye wateringly good studio gear shots, and Enmore’s subtle, understated brand makes for a website that is practical and functional, and still exhibits the vibes that inevitably come from a creative business such as this.
We went for a monochrome one-page site that would reflect EA’s no-nonsense ‘all about the music’ ethos. As soon as visitors arrive on the page, they’re greeted with some gorgeous photography and all the required information is immediately accessible on a smooth scrolling page with well paced information and image reveals that result in a satisfying user experience. A few subtle design flairs such as the page border and use of lines make the site that little more refined and add a touch of quality. We also created a studio map, which as well as being an important practical asset also serves as an important design element, holding together the images and graphics.
The decision to go monochrome unites all the elements of the site and also adds to the stylish yet understated aesthetic. We decided to keep a splash of colour (with colour images) on the blog roll page so as to distinguish this as the place to view the vibrancy and activity going on in the studio. The blog plays in important part in the content marketing and digital strategy.
Enmore Audio’s website handsomely presents their services in a visually arresting format, concisely presenting all the necessary information that a visiting recording artist might require. In terms of being a great mixing studio in Sydney they have a lot to offer including basic recording and mix services, production, mastering and voice over recording. The site is an extremely important tool for the growth of the business and is itself an ambassador for the brand, as this will likely be the first interaction any customer has with Enmore Audio – and as we all know, first impressions count. The site also received an honorable mention on the best web design awards site Awwwards.VISIT SITE Similar Projects Hire Us
