Paper Dreams

Gosh paper is good.  Humans put paper through quite a lot and yet the little guy still remains as faithful as ever.  We scrunch it up, scrawl all over it, dispose (and recycle of course), tear it up, shred it and something we do quite often here as a graphic design studio, print upon it.  What an absolute trooper.  Regardless of how freakin’ cool and innovative your design may be, much like your boss, the paper stock will still have the final say and determine how the overall design will be experienced.  We use paper as a means of expressing a concept, for its aesthetic qualities and structural properties.

Like a kid in a candy store, paper stock selection is a thrilling, sensory experience where your eyes can immerse into an endless sea of tones, whilst your fingers run along grainy, textured surfaces.  The age-old debate that the future will eat print for breakfast, everything will be digital and we will all transform into funny looking robots still remains, but paper holds features and an ease of usability that technology simply cannot.
