Pretty In Pink – A6 Postcard

Pretty In Pink located in Newtown’s bustling creative precinct, is a ladies handbag and accessories store, founded by vintage loving Jessica Mckenzie.  The vision for her brand taps into inspiration from “vintage clothing, the 50’s housewife and all things depicting the very pink of perfection from days gone by.  You can’t help staring and get caught up in a time when life was simple, beautiful and gracious.” The Pretty In Pink style is distinctively retro, influenced heavily by cultural and design references from the 30s, 40s and 50s combined with the eclectic fashion seen on the streets today.  How awesome.  We love the brand and really get a kick out of supporting and working alongside our local buddies.  The guys came to us wanting to create a promotional postcard for their shop, which had their distinctive branding in check as well as capturing a snapshot of their charming little world.  We designed the postcard, complete with a vintage portable TV from the 70s in all its glory, the screen projecting various call to action imagery and characters representing as the face of the brand.  The postcards not only draws the viewer by projecting a tantalizing mash-up of their vibe and flavour, as well as a sweet promotional tool which allows the Pretty In Pink folk to maintain a constant influx of visibility additional to the web.  Like the sound of postcards for your business but unsure of where to begin?
