To Serif Or To Sans Serif?

In our studio, we are all font junkies at heart. We enjoy browsing isles of a good book shop like Kinokuniya (if you haven’t been there before – its a must) and unless there is a specific title in mind, more often than not we find ourselves selecting a book because of it’s aesthetically pleasing cover, the way it’s packaged and OK, quite often the typeface used upon its cover.  We can’t help it, a good typeface is just so darn alluring.

Fonts are amazingly powerful and illustrate how something that appears quite simple at first glance, has the ability to communicate so much.  They are a visual tone of voice, and hold the identity of the product on its shoulders.
