Wittner – Print & Advertising

Is it real leather or fake? What’s the best way to tell these days? Sometimes, if you’ve met the cow beforehand and gotten to know how it’s unique smell (that would actually be very sad) but most often, the price tag. If you’re signing up for a week of peanut butter sandwich lunches to buy it, then it’s probably the real deal. Unless you’re this guy.

That’s not the case at Wittner. Good quality leather shoes abound in their stores (both outer and inner sole) at affordable prices. Hard to find these days. We know, we’ve looked! We’ve got quite a few pairs in our closets, and have been known to love them until they wear out into a couple of shoelaces and some beautiful memories. These were long term relationships mind you; relationships to instill us with confidence, made of warmth and searing love. You won’t get the quick and dirty, but ultimately unfulfilling nightclub fling with these shoes. Although we know sometimes that’s fun. So we’re not judging. Why not do a little of both?

Wittner has been around for a long time. They’ve been putting feet in shoes for almost a century in fact. In Australian business time, that’s like being a million years old, and very very wise and fabulous. They sell not only shoes, but a whole range of accessories. Unfortunately for the gents, they only do ladies products, but as the old stereotype goes, ladies be crazy for shoes. So I guess that was the right choice to make Wittner.

We’ve been working with Wittner for a while, and we’ve been doing a range of things for them that you might not realise we do at If You Build It, like media buying! We’ve also been doing some classic design and photography work for a whole range of print and advertising materials that they’ve been putting out over the last couple of years. Shoes have personality, or at least the personality we want to see in them (much like cats) and so we needed to showcase the individuality of each of Wittner’s new range of shoes. That’s how this advertising campaign came about? Are you a technic, a tranquil or a bollywood?
