What happens when you combine a yoga teacher and a graphic/web designer? Well, you get Yogeeks Apparel of course! The Sydney based label launched in 2012, with a steadfast commitment to ethical clothing that is vegan and sweat-shop free. Made in the garage of Alanna Bowd & Sandy King, together they’ve produced a high quality range of singlets, tees, pullovers and yoga basics that come with both simple graphics or just plain (but not boring). They’re a great addition to any wardrobe and would be particularly useful during trans-seasonal weather. Or any weather for that matter. The theme of yoga runs through the range which is no surprise considering how important yoga is to the designers. We thinks it’s great that the girls are so committed to producing ethical clothing whilst channelling their love for yoga. Their business is representation of who they are as individuals and we think this is an important factor to any business. The items have a really reasonable price point with some of their proceeds being donated to Animal Liberation. Yogeeks also produce apparel for wholesale needs which is handy if you need some ethically made uniforms for your own business – which should be any business that requires a uniform, right?
Want to learn more? Head to the Yogeeks website to see the full range and of course place an order. They also have a Facebook page that has lots of updates on what they’ve been up to. Alternatively, they are also on Twitter which is updated regularly with news.
